Being a volunteer changes your life. It gives you a new perspective, a new way of looking at your own problems when you have a chance to understand others. The training is really beneficial for your own communication skills and relationships.
Please consider volunteering at the Crisis Centre. the Crisis Centre training is something that everyone should learn.
Upcoming Training
The Crisis Prevention, Intervention & Information Centre for Northern BC generally offers volunteer training three or four times a year. If you are interested in taking this valuable training and are eager to help people in crisis, stop by the Crisis Centre and pick up an application. Once you have completed and submitted your application, you will be contacted for an interview. Please note that due to the increased cost to train new volunteers, we are now asking trainees for a donation in order to defray the cost of training. Volunteers that we have spoken with have indicated to us that it is well worth it!
Volunteer training sessions are ongoing, and we are always accepting applications.
